Submitting your CV

Curriculum Vitae (CV) Requirement

Each graduate student is required to maintain a current curriculum vitae (CV) using UGA Elements.   At a minimum, CV’s must be updated in conjunction with each annual advisory committee meeting.  However, CV’s can be updated at any time, and students are encouraged to do so, particularly upon publishing papers, attending professional development, winning awards, etc.

A copy of the UGA Elements CV must be sent to the Graduate Program Assistant along with your signed and completed annual committee meeting form.  The annual advisory committee meeting form will be marked to indicate that the electronic CV has been properly updated. It is recommended that you also provide your advisory committee with an electronic or hard copy of the updated CV at your annual committee meeting.

Keeping a CV is an important aspect of career development, but this policy also has practical value.  The database of CV’s is used by the Graduate Coordinator and others in making fellowship and scholarship award nominations, which underscores the value of updating your CV regularly.
