Congratulations to Chris Keggi for receiving the Early Career Development Travel Award to attend the Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology Annual Meeting!  The meeting will be held in New Orleans, LA, July 24-28, 2016.  Chris is a Ph.D. student in the lab of Dr. Joy Doran-Peterson, where he studies novel pectin-degrading enzymes from the bacterium Paenibacillus amylolyticus and the potential of these enzymes for biofuel production. The travel award is supported by the United States Department of Energy with the intent of promoting attendance by promising young scientists at the SIMB annual meeting.
