Resources to Succeed

UGA Bulletin

  • The Bulletin helps you find what courses you need to complete during your time at UGA. By putting your major in the “Undergraduate Majors” box, then clicking “Degree Requirements” you will be given all the courses needed to complete the particular major at UGA.
  • The Bulletin also lists all the course descriptions offered at UGA.
  • Find the Bulletin here.

Career Center

  • The goal of the Career Center is to prepare UGA students and alumni for meaningful opportunities after the Arch. Through career exploration and decision making, job search skill development, experiential learning, career employment, employer relations, university partnerships, and mentorship.
  • Make sure to take advantage of this resource and learn more here.

Tips on Registration

  • Create a plan on Athena before registration to make adding classes easier.
  • If classes are full, students will need to waitlist themselves in hopes another student will drop the course. Once waitlisted, students will need to check their email daily because once a spot is open, students have 18 hours to claim the spot or it goes to the next person on the waitlist.
  • Have alternate classes planned in case the classes you are wanting are full and don’t become available through the waitlist.

Connecting with our ASM Group

  • Join the American Society of Microbiology (ASM) to connect with the community and be more involved at UGA.

UGA Mentor

  • Transferring into a new environment can be overwhelming. Thanks to UGA’s mentor program, you don’t have to face all of these new changes on your own.

Office of Global Engagement
